    I'm very glad that I read "Guardians of the Upper Limit" first, it made understanding Kayar much easier. Super. Very interesting and captivating, hard to tear myself away and force myself to go to sleep! Third book, I'm coming for you)

    It would be nice if the author provided at least some glossary with titles. So-, and so on. Well, with "so" I somehow figured it out. It seems to be the highest titles, the primes.     Tetyana Lymar, the first emperor once distributed the islands long ago. Later, though, some were gifted to someone, and some were sold. So, "so" is actually the largest landowner; without land, you’re not a prim at all. Besides them, among the nobles, there are also "shi," those who had a title but no islands, and this title can be obtained or bought. Something like that. I definitely explained about prims somewhere in the text. Or I wanted to. I really need to compile a glossary))
