Liin from the So-Yalata family. Intrigues
About the book
The calm before the storm is always deceiving. Especially when someone can feel, deep in their bones, that it won’t last — that some unseen threat is lurking, ready to strike at the worst possible moment. New intrigues are taking shape across the Empire. The King of the Golden Mists is desperately trying to keep hold of his deity. The fight over imaginary gold shows no sign of ending. And one very old — and very tired — mage just wants to go home. If that means saving the damned world, fine. And if not… well, he might just destroy it for good.

valentina-kovalenko21.03.2026, 00:26In my opinion, the Guardians of the Upper Limit should have been added to the cycle; then many questions wouldn't have arisen. Even though it's about a different plot, it's still about the same worlds and limits.
tetiana-limar28.05.2025, 07:25And as I understand, in books 2-3, Liin is no longer the main character, but rather in the background, with Romula and now Vince taking the spotlight. The plot is original and the style is appealing, but these jumps between storylines and half-mentions, in my opinion, are that spoonful of tar that spoils the whole taste of the book. Or maybe the author has a book somewhere about that upper and lower Mimta, and Vince is featured there in some way, then it would be somewhat clearer.
valentina-kovalenko21.03.2026, 00:24Tetyana Lymar, For those who were unlucky to read about the Upper Limit, everything is much clearer, but I think, in my opinion, it would be more correct to include it in the series as the first book. Some authors do this. Then it’s easier to read the other books.
aaaa-aaaa04.03.2026, 22:10Thank you for the exciting journey))))) I'm eagerly waiting for the continuation)))
lesia-litvisko18.01.2026, 14:05Interesting and evokes a kind of sad feeling of parallels. And, ...they started a conversation, holding an open box of candies, and then closed it and left.

lesia-litvisko18.01.2026, 14:07Perhaps it's still too early to present the finale?
lesia-litvisko18.01.2026, 12:26Amazing
larisa-chelter07.12.2025, 14:49Such an ending that it can be continued))
tetiana-gurkalo07.12.2025, 14:58Larisa Chelter, Just so you know, the commander with the assistant in the epilogue are the heroes of "The Second Upper Limit," and I've been trying for years to send them on that journey, but they just won't get going))
tetiana-limar30.05.2025, 18:06Overall, I'm satisfied with the series. It's readable. There are some nuances, but that's just my personal perception. I recommend it for reading. Respect to the author.
tetiana-limar27.05.2025, 23:40I still don't understand about Vistse. He wants to go "home," but it seems like he ended up in Temisto, and that's not really his home. The author has cooked up something tricky.
tetiana-gurkalo27.05.2025, 23:42Tetyana Lymar, where are you reading right now? The city of King Ivil is not his home. But the city that is divided into upper and lower parts is his. The one where he was born, to put it mildly, he doesn’t like and definitely wouldn’t want to go back there.
tetiana-limar25.05.2025, 09:52Thank you to the author for the promised discount, only a week has passed since my reading was paused in anticipation of the discount, I think I haven’t forgotten yet.
tetiana-gurkalo26.05.2025, 21:17Tetyana Lymar, please))
olena24.05.2025, 23:50Thank you :) It was interesting to get acquainted with the story about the shard-world. And also to follow the development of events :)

tetiana-limar18.05.2025, 22:48So, do the dragons talk in this? And it turns out they have intelligence. Why did this only come up now? In my opinion, the author writes interestingly, but somewhat chaotically.
tetiana-gurkalo18.05.2025, 23:11Tetyana Lymar, well, they had intelligence from the very beginning, otherwise how would the fox have agreed with them to sit a bit at the edge of the world? But speaking is very, very hard for them and requires a lot of effort. And the unintelligent dragons are sea serpents, those also exist there))
tetiana-limar18.05.2025, 07:19Oh, dear author, you have such twists. Earlier it was written that Valad is from some Upper City and was called something like interworld in a drunken state, and some little god sends him as a savior. Now some Visce appears—and he turns out to be like the first one. Sorry, but sometimes there’s such chaos in your plots. I’ve already mentioned Romul’s friend in the comments. Why introduce her if she plays absolutely no role?
tetiana-gurkalo18.05.2025, 09:35Tetyana Lymar, why not her? She and her father helped him remain himself. And Visce is Valad. Valad was the name of the boy whom the father killed and whose body he (Visce) took over.
tetiana-limar17.05.2025, 14:18Oh, two books in the series read, and there's no discount for this one? Or a promo?
tetiana-gurkalo17.05.2025, 15:03Tetyana Lymar, there were promos, but I missed them due to internet issues, unfortunately. There will be a discount.
