Charlotte moves with her daughter, Nora, to a small village in the south of England, seeking peace after a separation and a difficult chapter in her life. She finds a job as a nurse at the local clinic, where she meets Arthur Parker — a brilliant pediatrician, but also stiff, grumpy, moody, and quite full of himself. From the very first day, Charlotte and Arthur clash. He doesn’t bother to be pleasant, and she has no intention of keeping her opinions to herself. But when Nora has a small accident and Arthur is the one who treats her, something changes: the little girl decides that the grumpy doctor isn’t as bad as her mother says — she even kind of likes him. And sometimes, when everything seems to start off on the wrong foot… that’s exactly when the good things begin.
