You write beautifully, but after reading a few of your books, I caught myself thinking that you constantly pull your characters out of trouble: one didn’t betray, but fell asleep; another didn’t betray, she was drugged, and so on. This deliberate whitewashing of characters takes away the sense of reality and authenticity for me, and it reminds me that this is just a fairy tale. After all, life is much more complicated, and the book would be more interesting if the characters made real mistakes.
