The book is generally not bad, with an uncommon plot, and sometimes even humor is present, but still, something was missing—perhaps emotions or tension, or maybe the resolution came too quickly, so unfortunately, this novel didn’t touch my soul. However, what was overdone was Katya’s hysterics and quirks. From the first chapters, she appeared before us as a girl of very frivolous and questionable behavior, a spoiled rich girl who drinks to complete oblivion and changes sexual partners as easily as men change socks. So, honestly, I don’t think a Turkish man in real life could build a family with such a woman. And, in my opinion, the situation with the artist Gleb wasn’t covered enough, because I still don’t fully understand what exactly he did wrong to Katya.
