In the previous book by Erick, one of Cassia's sisters asks the grandfather if he was sure that Cassia should marry that Damian... so why did he allow it? He's supposed to never let her marry someone who isn't the right one.

I loved the story, however, I would have liked it if that Damian had fallen in love with Cassia and she had rejected him for Alex. And I wish their story had been extended a bit more. I loved that you didn't portray Cassia as the submissive woman who always forgives the man and in the end, they end up together despite all the humiliations and mistreatment.
