It was interesting to follow the development of the relationship between the main characters: from Ruslan's indifference and Polina's wariness to genuine mutual love. At first, Ruslan annoyed me a bit with his behavior towards Polina. She was only his and no one else's, no way, while he could continue seeing his mistress. However, on the other hand, Ruslan started to change, realizing that his wife meant more to him than he had hoped when he was plotting revenge against his enemy. Although they say a woman loves with her ears, I think Ruslan won Polina over with the brevity of his words and the generosity and sincerity of his actions. As Polina herself noted, her husband rarely told her he loved her, but he acted in a way that made his wife feel loved, desired, and knew that she was the only one for him. Thank you once again, Mrs. Ustyna, for the interesting life stories, and I’ll keep reading since I haven’t finished everything yet. :) ❤️
