Honestly, I’ll admit - I started reading because of the cat. Well, because it’s a kitty... And then a bunch of other things happened related to cats. My cat gave birth to three kittens (right on my bed). A buddy of mine got bitten by a cat (a huge beast, about the size of Valerian). No, nothing serious, we managed without any infections or rabies (we’re already crazy enough here haha). But unexpectedly, the rest of the characters turned out to be just as interesting, and the events too. There are a million books about witches out there, and you can get lost in them like Theseus in the labyrinth - good thing I stumbled upon this one) I haven’t gotten to the second part yet, but I have a hypothesis - the situation at the end was arranged on purpose so that someone would stop giving the cold shoulder))
