Abstract of the book "When eagles fly"
Are you a complete failure, a nobody who never managed to achieve anything in life? Or maybe… maybe you were simply born in the wrong time? Maybe this world—where machines do the work, computers make the decisions, mistakes don’t cost you your livelihood or your life, everyone is equal, and no one is allowed to die—isn’t meant for you? But what if someone offered you the chance to change your life—not by moving to another country, but by vanishing from this world altogether? Sounds tempting… if you’re ready to treat life like a game of chance—and yourself as the wager. Because you’ve got nothing left to lose, and everything to win. So you play. Fearless. Uncompromising. There’s only one thing to fear: What if all of this… is just a dream?

stcollector08.10.2022, 01:49Went through... Chapter 5... and still... nothing... makes sense... What... kind of... game... what... kind of... rules? I still don’t understand... why... the main character... had... to... turn... that woman... into a slave... if... she... insulted... him. What the hell is with all these "..."? Is this supposed to convey the characters’ emotions? Honestly, it’s annoying. There’s no need for this in the text, seriously, as if the unedited text wasn’t bad enough, now these infuriating ........ Why did those scientists say this world is like a game, but by Chapter 5, which I managed to get through, they still haven’t shown it? And the cherry on top, of course, is that woman already loves the main character. Why? No idea, just because. You know, it’s a different world, different morals and laws, and the fact that they didn’t show us this is nonsense, we’re supposed to figure it out ourselves.
stcollector07.10.2022, 23:00There's still no information at all. What kind of world is this? Why are there such rules here? What happens if you break them? Why can't the main character do whatever they want? This is critically important information that the author isn't telling us. The main character has shown some signs of intelligence, but damn, the hundreds of questions about the world overshadow this effect. It's unclear, and the text failed to hook me in either the first or second chapter.
stcollector07.10.2022, 22:23The first chapter is great in that it throws us right into the whirlwind of events, but there are questions I didn’t get answers to. Why did the former master kidnap the main character? Why did he torture them? Why did he carry out the kidnapping so stupidly? These are the questions that arose for me in the first chapter, and I would like to get answers immediately, at least within the chapter. So, at the moment, this technique doesn’t feel like intrigue but rather like an unthought-out plot hole. Therefore, there’s no immersion, and the world seems underdeveloped. Also, regarding my feelings about the main character, they haven’t shown competence or motivation, and they’re not likable yet. This is a fiasco, in my opinion.
natalija-karaulnaja27.09.2022, 19:32Thank you for an interesting book filled with events and incredible twists. I was worried about the characters. It's good that everything turned out well, but for me, it's a bit too sweet. Some views of the main character about our time, in my opinion, even though it's fiction, are not portrayed in the right light, for example: the idea that not only those who chose this profession are taken to fight. But when it’s necessary to defend the country, every conscious citizen should contribute to the defense, whether by joining the military or helping in the rear. Maybe I misunderstood, but this is my impression. Nevertheless, I will continue to read your books and look forward to new ones. Wishing you success and good health!
nadiika-viniarska01.05.2021, 23:39I was afraid until the very end that the whole story would turn out to be Axeliy's dream. I'm happy that there's a happy ending here. It was very interesting to read. I worried about the characters and their fate. This is an incredible story. Once again, I'm convinced that you are a wise man. I'm off to look for a new story.))
nikolai-gavris16.03.2021, 13:37I’m not going to write a lot of praise for the author of this work right now, but I’ll just say that I liked this book more than all the other books written by Vadym Volodarsky before this! And that says it all. After all, I liked his other works as well. More precisely, I’ll put it this way, I read this one with greater interest than the others. True, the names of the characters in the story are not very familiar, and there were some issues with this: when there was a significant break in reading, upon returning to it, I forgot some of the secondary characters and had to strain my memory to recall who was who. But these are minor things, and I think other readers didn’t have such problems. (-)
oksana-usenko14.03.2021, 18:47And how could Silly not know about the new method of attacking ships if Kwara was captured before her raid, and not notice the tower in her own village (where her relatives were brought from)? She simply couldn't have missed it. After all, the attack on Gveran's ship was already using the new technology, and that was before Axeliy went out to sea.
oksana-usenko14.03.2021, 17:51An interesting and dynamic book. The realization of every gamer's dreams :)
nikolai-gavris12.03.2021, 11:47Finally, I've waited for this!!! (- I'm starting to read and I hope (almost certain) that this book is as interesting as the previous ones.
