Abstract of the book "Vlad and Maria Țepeș: The Homecoming"
A work of historical fiction set in the 15th century. In a small town, a boy is born under mysterious circumstances. Together with his brother, he becomes heir to the throne of Wallachia. Meanwhile, in Constantinople, Mehmed II the Conqueror rules with notorious cruelty – his forces take children from all social classes in every conquered territory. Vlad and his brother are sent to the Ottoman court, where they spend years of their lives. But fate intervenes when the young prince meets a girl of extraordinary stature: the Sultan's own daughter. Their forbidden connection unfolds against a backdrop of war, political intrigue, and the brutal Devşirme system.
