Hello from mutual reading! I've read very little, just a few chapters, but I can say that even at this stage, I’ve already taken a liking to the story. It has a nice and interesting plot, skillfully written and grammatically correct text, and a pleasant main character for the reader :) However, right from the start, I felt there was a lack of descriptions of the magical world and the magic that exists in it (though, perhaps, such information will come later, as I’ve mentioned, I’ve only read a small part of the book). Something about this strange friendship with the maid who’s like: "oh, who am I, and who are you..." It completely killed my desire to keep reading. What is this urge to serve and think that someone is more worthy of something? All people have the same hands, legs, and head. And no one is above others because of some made-up nonsense.

A good plot that could be developed brilliantly, but... 1. There is no description of the world. I constantly feel like I'm in a vacuum. If this is fantasy in an invented universe, I really missed the description of this universe. There was a lack of description of the surrounding environment, the atmosphere that prevails around. 2. Very quick jumps between different events. It feels like these are just short notes that lack the "glue" to hold them together. 3. There is magic in the story, but there is no description at the beginning. What kind of magic is it? Why? How does it fit into the world at all? It just fell from the sky. 4. The main character seems all-powerful, super wise, super cool, and just the best of the best. I don't like such characters; they have no soul.

I agree with you, but don’t you find it strange when the heroine has lived in a world for over twenty years and suddenly starts describing everything instead of doing something or going somewhere? I sometimes find this unnecessary. And to get a better sense of the overall atmosphere, I recommend reading a bit more than the marathon suggests) 2. I kept holding myself back in this book, but I see it wasn’t very successful))) Well... then in the next little book, I’ll focus even more on this aspect) 3. From the very first words, it’s clear that everyone is endowed with magic. And this couple has the magic of runes, which is capable of many things. However, its main specialty is creating portals. The entire plot revolves around this specialty. So, I can’t agree with your words here) 4. The main heroine is a person who holds on despite everything and stays positive) Personally, such people inspire me) She is loving, but circumstances force her to abandon everyone and everything. She is very clumsy. She does everything based on intuition, not because she knows everything. She loves doing completely illogical things, and all of this doesn’t make her the best of the best. It’s just that when you’re different from everyone else, it draws attention to you))
