The Yellow Lantern, or Witches Play Fair!
About the book
An old yellow lantern glows near my house, drawing in those in need of help. I grew up surrounded by other people’s troubles and learned one thing for sure: a witch’s calling is to do good. But what if the family trade just isn’t your thing? A job at the court of Vellya is the perfect excuse to finally break free from under my parents’ wing. Even my brother agreed it would be easy and fun — and he knows everything about fun. We took on a simple task together and… everything went completely wrong. This isn’t the capital — it’s the wild Wasteland. Our royal ward is desperate for adventure, my brother is missing, and I’ve accidentally gotten married. So much for independent living. But there’s no turning back now. I’ll face it all and prove: a witch’s power is a gift, not a curse!
