About the book

In ancient times, a witch might be burned at the stake. But that's not how things are done anymore. A modern witch is condemned to life. Yet, is she truly guilty? Or to put it another way: if not her, then who? And why? After all, she wasn't condemned for witchcraft... Is she even a witch at all, or did she perhaps inherit it? Is she the only witch in this story, or is the one who lived three hundred years ago also involved? How can you abandon this case when you yourself are a victim? And not just a victim... What will you become in the end? Is it a natural force guiding you on this path? Does it have a purpose connected to the distant past? Why does it seem as if someone is deliberately suggesting solutions... and offering new friends? Who could it be... or what?

Actually, I wanted to start reading another of your books, but I always begin with the comments to make sure the book is finished. And in one of them, someone indeed mentioned waiting for the continuation and your advice to read your other works. Since then, I haven’t regretted for a single moment getting acquainted with your creativity. This book was my first, and it’s definitely not the last. Thank you for the captivating plot. I’m off to choose the next book.

I liked the story, and the fact that it’s about familiar places really resonated with me and vividly painted pictures in my imagination. The only thing is, personally, I found it a bit hard to read because of the large number of "...". I understand they’re for pauses, but I wanted to read with intonation and emotion, and in some places, it was difficult to adjust.

I've read up to the fifth part. The plot, so far, seems to draw me in. But I can't shake the feeling that the book tastes like a paperclip. In the part I've read, there are no colors. The only color so far is the color of the heroine. There’s no color in the court, the heroine’s mother’s apartment, or the heroine’s own apartment (except for the white walls and the black slate of the stars). There are no scents, no sense of the space the author describes, or the people he portrays. Yet, the bad road from Cherkasy to Kyiv via Zolotonosha has been mentioned two or three times. It feels like I’m reading not a work of fiction, but a criminal case file, slightly dressed up as a literary piece. Add some tactility to the work; the concept is worth it.

Interesting :) I liked it. Rocky is a handsome guy :) Although, I still don't understand what prevented Yevhen from searching the apartment over two years and staging the find somewhere else.
