About the book

I will have to marry this cruel and selfish man, even though I love someone else. My sister was supposed to marry him, but my parents decided to sacrifice me. “My parents have gone completely mad... That Gordey, he's a sadist, four brides have run away from him...” said my sister. “What do you mean?” “I heard he has a special room,” she blushed. “Like in those movies... And that he does whatever he wants with those girls there. And then they break off the engagement.” “But brides always move in with their husbands after the wedding.” We're not even engaged yet, why should I move? “Exactly... Usually after. But this one... This one uses them and throws them away,” she looked away. “And they all hope...”

How can you treat your own daughter like that? And then say that she's somehow wrong, when you're the ones to blame for everything? Monsters!

I don't understand why the father treats Kvitka like this; she is his own daughter who lost her mother and needs support... With the stepmother, everything is clear, her own daughter is more important. And what happened to Kvitka at 18 that she is afraid of being touched? And instead of getting help from a psychologist, they essentially locked her at home... What kind of father is that?

How wonderful that despite all the family troubles and separation, Gordiy and Kvitka were able to build their true family :)

Is fate mocking us or granting a chance for a happy life? How can a father treat his daughter like this? No questions about the stepmother, but why the father? I'm curious how Hordiy reacts to Kvitka. Thank you.

Kvitoslava was set up by her stepmother. She sent her to her future husband instead of her own daughter. But Gordiy promised not to hurt her.

The father is a henpecked man who doesn't care about Kvitka. The stepmother is a stepmother, and this one is a venomous snake who, for some reason, deeply hates Kvitka. Oles is a nominal fiancé who won't easily go against his father's will (as he admitted himself), only giving Kvitka empty promises that even he doesn't believe in. Therefore, Kvitlslava did the right thing by categorically refusing his unrealistic plans. Hordiy unexpectedly pleased with his sincere and open attitude at the beginning of his acquaintance with Kvitka, and then he himself didn't realize when he fell in love with his wife and is ready to break the necks of everyone who humiliated, despised, insulted, and mocked her at the instigation of her parents. Kvitlslava deserves her feminine happiness.

It's unfair to love one child more and the other less. Why does the father blame his daughter instead of himself for what happened? He should be a protector and a support.

Marriage by force... Punishment or... Sometimes even for the better... But the path is not easy... So it is with Kvitoslava... She was used as a protective shield... Thank you ♥️

Nice story.. but after the text describing the girl's parameters (something close to 70-50-70), I can't take it seriously.. I tried to detach myself, but.. This corresponds to the parameters of a 10-year-old child with a low BMI.

It was interesting to follow the development of the relationship between Kvitoslava and Gordiy, how they added twists and turns on their path to happiness. Their mutual love prevented them from making wrong steps and losing each other. However, some things remained unclear. Why did the father and stepmother have such an attitude toward Kvitka? The stepmother can somehow be understood (she didn’t love her stepdaughter because she had her own daughter), but how could the father arrange the rape of his own daughter, who was still underage at the time? There’s clearly something wrong with him. Also, throughout the book, Gordiy talks about revenge, which is why he got married and wanted to use his wife for this revenge. At the beginning of the book, he mentions having 12 enemies. But it remains unclear who he was seeking revenge on and for what. I would like all the plot lines to be resolved. I wish the author further creative growth.
