Abstract of the book "The Stranger from the City of the Moon"
Welcome to the City of the Moon. In this city, advanced technology caters to human needs—after meticulously defining them. It's a place where work is a choice, not a necessity, and life can be lived effortlessly. Inequality has been eradicated, and the relentless pursuit of a "better" life is obsolete, as distinctions of superior or inferior no longer exist. Here, technology has neutralized environmental harm. Or has it? Perhaps it's not the technology itself, but the foundational ideals of the city's creators that have harnessed digital advancements for their vision. Could this be a means to control not just needs and desires, but the very destiny of every inhabitant? Yet, even in this meticulously crafted utopia, digital marvels offer no defense against Are you sure you'll like it here?

vadim-volodarskii31.12.2022, 20:38A little explanation for the reader. Some time ago, when there was still a Russian-language section of the site, this book was written in Russian and posted there. (Later, Litnet became a separate resource.) But the book deserves to be accessible to Ukrainian readers, so the author’s translation is offered. (The author writes in two languages.)
