About the book

When Amber crosses the threshold of someone else's apartment, she doesn't yet know: this isn't a shelter, but a trap. Kai Harlow doesn't save women and does not believe in good intentions. He is the one who is not asked and decides for himself whom to protect... and what the price will be...

Drama, but with a good ending. Broken fates, broken people—this is about us. Wishing you success in your creativity.

While reading, it feels like some parts of the text are missing. You read a sentence and don’t understand what it’s about because that event wasn’t mentioned in the text before.

Oksana HaichenyaThank you for writing! I understand this feeling, some transitions between scenes indeed turned out more abrupt than I had planned... This is my first book, and I already see what I want to improve in the next one. I'm glad that despite this, you finished reading)

Something is wrong with the name of the city; it changes at every step, sometimes it's Williamsburg, sometimes Edinburgh, or something else. My personal feeling is that the book was written by artificial intelligence. Spelling mistakes can be understood, but for example, the moment when the heroine found a note in her ex's jacket, and in the next sentence, there's talk about a note and a flash drive she supposedly found, but there was no mention of that flash drive before, it feels like deception on the author's part. The story is good, but attention to detail is still needed. Thank you.

Alona BasanetsThank you for your attentive reading and such a detailed review — it is truly valuable. Regarding Williamsburg — Mari explained it correctly, it’s a neighborhood in Brooklyn where the heroine lives. As for the flash drive, I’ll take it into account; perhaps this moment does need a clearer transition. I write on my own and, like every novice author, I learn with each book. Your feedback is exactly what helps me grow!
