Abstract of the book "The limits of decency"
This story happened not so long ago, in Ukraine. When I heard it, the first thing I thought was — IT DOESN'T HAPPEN LIKE THAT! The heroes have difficult fates, an ambiguous environment that requires compliance with certain rules in order to be DECENT PEOPLE. However, we often do not notice the difference between "BEING" and "APPEARING". After talking more with the narrator, I realized that I wanted to write this story down. NAMES and PLACES OF THE EVENTS HAVE BEEN CHANGED.

When it’s cold, there’s no electricity, no heating, and the metro isn’t running... Your books warm me up. I was reading right on the street at -20, and my soul felt warm because of Stepan and Larysa.
