This was the most beautiful fairy tale in my life (this is a review from my seven-year-old son, to whom I read this book). It was really interesting. Thank you.

Several times I got the impression that the author has never been to the Carpathians. But it’s written beautifully, harmoniously, emotionally, and captivatingly. However, due to inconsistencies, it’s a 3/5. 1 - How can banosh be called kulesh? That’s painful. 2 - They didn’t know what day it was? But how can you use a phone and not look at the screen? 3 - Everything about Sofia was clear from the first chapter.

Anastasia KuznetsovaIn fact, the author once lived in the Carpathians and knows well what she writes about. Banosh and kulesha are two different dishes. The first is cooked with sour cream, and the second with water. Usually, kulesha is thicker. You could say it’s mamalyga. I deliberately used this word. Regarding the day. The phones ran out of battery, and there was no charger; they were only going for a day and didn’t take many things with them. Sofia, although well disguised, still raised suspicions in the chuhaister. Thank you for your attention to the book! Come read the continuation, the second book "Guardian of the Carpathians. Origins." There are even more dialects and Hutsul flavor there.
