Abstract of the book "The Guardian of Darkness"
The King of Elendor has taken everything from her: her family, her home, her title. Lucy is left alone, locked in a small room, surrounded by the torment of a curse and endless darkness... But the darkness speaks. It calls itself good. It says it will help her take revenge. It promises great power. But does Lucy really need revenge? Or maybe her salvation is fire? As the world shudders in the midst of a battle between light and shadow, how can she not lose herself in the centre of the chaos?

At the moment with that cursed man, Lucy’s dark side scolds her for not taking the weapon and not doing what she was supposed to. But if that’s the case, and if coercion doesn’t work in this situation, then why did it work? If it wasn’t supposed to work in this case, why did it ultimately work? Was the dark side deceiving Lucy? I don’t understand why. Is the process irreversible? Please explain. Otherwise, it’s a very good book. Thank you for your work.

Thank you for the question, I'm happy to answer :) The thing is, Elizabeth, the dark side of Lucy, doesn't fully understand how the curse works herself. Plus, she's very impatient. At the moment when the man was lying on the ground after the shot and nothing was happening, she immediately thought it was Lucy's fault, that she did something wrong. The first thing that came to her mind was coercion, so she started blaming her, saying she should have taken a weapon instead of a spell. In reality, coercion for murder does count, it just wasn't instantaneous. That's the whole explanation) I hope I answered your question. All the characters are almost the same "inside" (yes, they have different stories and seemingly different behaviors), but it feels like it's all one soul speaking through different bodies and different circumstances. In other words, the main characters and their motivations are poorly developed, and consequently, so is their behavior... Sometimes the main characters do things for which they receive no consequences from the universe at all - and that’s just completely illogical... Adults and children can’t have the same behavior and the same punishment for their actions.... Because of this, I constantly stumble while reading. There are no romantic storylines at all - only adventures. (Yes, it seems like someone falls in love, but again, without any motivation). I liked the adventures themselves and this universe. Thank you.
