Abstract of the book "The guardian"
Xavier and Abel were torn apart when a civil war erupted in their country. Abel went off to fight, leaving Xavier behind in their hometown with one unexpected request: take care of his wife—a blind woman Xavier had never met. Used to solitude, Xavier struggles to understand his brother’s sudden marriage while sharing scarce food and space with a stranger. As the war grows more brutal and danger creeps closer, she remains unaware of the chaos outside, gently trying to break through the emotional walls Xavier has built.

I imagine it as a Mexican telenovela, I loved it and enjoyed it so much. It leaves a very beautiful message, I loved the protagonist, who, even though she is blind, was very outgoing. Without a doubt, Xavier is an example of resilience, I will always keep it in my heart.

I'm on this chapter and so far I've only read about domestic problems in a small house full of holes in the roof and where it rains a lot. I'll keep reading in the hope that the plot changes a little. Sorry, but that's how I feel.

Her brother didn’t know her, and when the girl arrives, it turns out she is blind. He doesn’t know why his brother married her, and now they must live together, just the two of them, trapped in a house in the countryside while the war unfolds. He waits for his brother’s return to find out who this new wife of his brother is and the girl he is living with under these circumstances.

It's the second time I've read it and I absolutely love it, a beautiful story without a doubt. I love Xavier's character, a good man, and Analia, such a delightful girl. I definitely recommend it a thousand times over.
