An interesting book, it's a pity that it rushed to the finale like that and left many questions about the characters and the plot. I hope there will be a continuation someday, and I will gladly read it! I wish the author inspiration and strength in creating such interesting books.

The subtext implies not that the main character betrayed their race, but that this very race betrayed itself and its people. And it will take a long time for the main character to realize this.
