About the book

I jumped into a sandstorm — destroyed a caravan of temple priests and saved an innocent girl meant to be sacrificed to the gods. I am the Mask Mistress — a legendary thief of the desert. Now Colonel-Mage Dayvar Sharhes is hunting me down, ready to drag me to the capital for public execution. But he’s not just my pursuer… He may be my only chance to survive — because the stakes are far greater than any of us imagined.

A very nice story, a rich plot, and multifaceted characters. A special thanks for the beautiful Ukrainian language. However, personally, I felt a lack of "savoring" the story, some greater action and conflict between the prince and the heroes, because everything went "smoothly" without any worries for any of the characters. There's a bit of a missing climactic moment.

So - Queen Afeya! AMAZING. I'm so happy for her! I felt it. And she's indeed non-traditional, which is unexpected to see here. Well, I would still like to read more about her reign with Samira's help, curious if she will cancel Ameralan... As for the main characters, it's somehow very brief and concise. I got used to and expected romance at the end and confessions - not just talks about deeds: apologies for the pressure; After all, the text mentions: a strong heroine, love, adventures, but not a word about love! I wish the heir to have the gifts of both parents - since we've already jumped ahead - a bit disappointed); Overall, I liked the book: I didn't even think it wasn't just empty fantasy where dragons fly! I would put it on the shelf only in the previous cover... and by the way, I'm very curious to know where authors get their ideas.) Wishing you new ideas and see you soon!

Dina Ostapchuk, Tell me, will there be any reasonable ARGUMENTS from you regarding your position? Or just the repetition of absurd claims from Karas's Twitter? What will you tell us next? Maybe about "victim behavior" and that if a woman was raped, she is "to blame herself" because she somehow "provoked the rapist"? Or that a woman should "always act wisely, obey her husband in everything, who is her king and god," and so on? Or that a girl "should be modest and humble"? Or will I hear speeches from you about your intolerance towards people of other races? Or what else is next on your list as an "adept of the religion of love"? However, I don’t care. Because I have no desire to argue with a person who doesn’t want to listen, simply because they are incapable of thinking for themselves. They only repeat learned toxic, disgusting patterns that should have long been left in the past, as they are aimed solely at self-assertion by humiliating others and believing that you are somehow better because you fit into these patterns and standards. Therefore, I strongly ask you not to respond to my messages anymore and to end this discussion. That’s all.

Missing chapters? Where did Lam's former concubine come from?! How and WHY was Aros released?! Where did Murabed come from and why does she care about him? What a mess! What was that kiss on the night of the festival and why?! Why sneak into the prince's dungeons? Some necklace of completely unrelated events... who?... where?... why?... for what?...

I sympathize. It feels like Ukrainian-language content is being deliberately destroyed and readers are being discouraged!

Liana Mykhaliuk Zaikina, I’m more inclined to think that the portal’s management overcomplicated things in their attempts to completely overhaul the site’s functionality, just to make it “as different as possible from the old version, which was associated with the pig-dog Litnet.” Plus... As I understand it, this is a very specific “strategy for promoting the portal” by the management—to “encourage authors to increase the portal’s audience by running targeted ads on their behalf, so that readers come to the site through ads paid for by a specific author, and then stay on the portal, continuing to buy books here.” I’ve heard from acquaintances that many years ago, when Litnet started in the swamps, similar strategies were used to attract readers to the portal. In other words, they urged authors that if you want readers, bring them here yourself from outside, don’t expect to come to the portal and find them already brought in. But now... it’s very upsetting because there are many excesses, and as an author who writes “not SLR about dominant bosses,” I don’t feel any support from the portal at all( On the main page, there’s only what’s already popular, and I won’t appear there at all, even if I publish a new work and update it regularly. This really takes a toll on me morally(

Well, the situation with Murabed is sorted out - great! The priests are still left. But... About personal feelings... there haven't been any conversations at all! Only about BUSINESS: even though they are felt, strangely enough - or is no one daring to be the first, or is there really (or was there) no time!... It can't just END like this... I also wanted (thought) to find out what the Lord of Fire was planning to do before the ATTEMPT on his life with Samira, and how to save from the gallows: or was he not planning to DO this at all???

Dina Ostapchuk, But he didn’t know that back then. Just as he didn’t know what kind of person she really was. At that time, she was just an ordinary bandit to him.

Dina Ostapchuk, Sorry, I’ve been very ill, the last two weeks I’ve barely had the strength to get out of bed - it’s a really nasty virus. It doesn’t seem to be COVID, but it’s still hard to endure. Right now, the plot is reaching its climax, after which there will be the resolution (I often like to build up more epic drama before the finale). This is a standalone book, like my other books - I don’t write books longer than one part.
