Abstract of the book "The Department of Dead Souls. The Soulless Body"
Forty years before the founding of Vilkhferm, the Holy Kingdom of Lyra was conquered, and its population began to be mercilessly exterminated. The only state that agreed to accept non-humans on its territory was Okta. In return, the High Priest of Lyra shared with the king the secret of soul relocation. This is how the Department of Restless Souls was established. And of course, Andrei had to go and get a job there. Everything might have been fine, if she hadn’t accidentally overheard a secret conversation. And as we know, witnesses don’t live long. But our heroine is clever and resourceful, and she managed to avoid an early reunion with her ancestors. And the fact that she now has to live in a new body, under a different name — well, that’s just a detail.

Yano, thank you for your book. It’s incredible. I really want a continuation. Your writing style is recognizable, authentic, and very much to my liking. The story has a very interesting plot. The way you present several parallel lines, breaking off at the most intriguing moments to further tease the reader’s imagination, is brilliant. Once you start reading, it’s impossible to tear yourself away or switch to something else—it firmly holds your curiosity: what happens next. It feels like a movie. The same can be said about your other works. I hadn’t been on Booknet for three years, but when I came back, I wanted to continue reading this particular story. I browsed through my library, and there are tons of books I’ve reread. But only a few of them stayed in my memory. Your series about Mel is also unforgettable. I wish you inspiration and more time for creativity. If I understand correctly, you have very little time for this.
