irina-skripnik21.01.2026, 21:02The prologue fulfills its function — it provides motivation for the hero and explains how Adele ended up under guardianship. The first chapters immediately throw the reader into conflict. This is good for online literature: the reader doesn’t have to wait, they see the tension right away. The text reads easily, the language is dynamic. The sensory details are well-written. This creates the necessary atmosphere. On the downside — the author overuses internal monologues about hatred. Sometimes it’s better to show action rather than write “I hate him” for the third time. Show, don’t tell.
