The beginning of the book is so sweet, even tender at times, but then, just WOW, WOW. With each chapter, the story gripped me tighter in its web. And the epilogue is an explosion of emotions, tears streaming down. Damn, I cried like a baby. It hurt so much when you realize you have to let go of your beloved, and your heart aches. How much it hurt Makar, how he realized that he, too, was lost. It’s heavy and at the same time captivating to read something like this. Impossible to tear yourself away from the story. Thank you for every emotion, for every tear shed, for every look of theirs and their feelings. THANK YOU. I’m heading to the continuation of the story. My heart aches.

It’s people like Kamila who turn good, decent, and gentle boys into soulless, cruel machines that can’t be brought back to life. At least, not by anyone except the one who will always live in his heart❤️. I really liked the beginning of Makar and Daryna’s relationship. In those moments, the two of them are pure, sincere, and sensitive. Amazing. But their reunion after so many years honestly shocked me. I thought, how could this happen?! How could he not recognize her and hurt her so badly?! However, Violetta didn’t fare any better. I felt terribly sorry for her too... A whirlwind of emotions. As I already wrote in my recommendation, the book is very emotional and intense. And the ending completely blew me away. I’m heading to the second part, hoping that Makar survived and that Misha isn’t the one who will betray. Otherwise, I clearly don’t understand people at all. Thank you for the wonderful story❤️.
