About the book

Her life was full of secrets, each one buried deeper than the last, until they were little more than distant memories. But a simple trip home became a descent into a forgotten truth she never knew she was searching for. Just when she thought she had finally untangled the web, a new thread would emerge, pulling her deeper. The only question left is, what will happen when the answer stops being a puzzle and starts chasing her?

Greetings, I'm still from the marathon) Based on the cover, it gives off a very stylish, recognizable detective atmosphere. So, of course, the annotation is sprinkled with questions and mysteries, as that’s the style of the work) I liked the realistic portrayal of the main heroine’s life, who, with each chapter, turns out to be far from an ordinary girl. The geeky security guard with pop culture references made me laugh, it brought a genuine smile. And the start of the story reminded me of a scene from "Wanted" where the hero also proudly left a hated office job. From what I’ve read, I felt a leitmotif of very recognizable life moments: changing jobs, moving, parents. Overall, it reads easily, feels natural, and it’s interesting to follow the heroine)) Thanks for the impressions)

Hello) I really, really like the book cover. Its color scheme, those Western-style hats (just add some cigar smoke), everything hints that we have a detective story in front of us. And the annotation matches perfectly, though short, it clearly indicates what to expect inside. It was a pleasant surprise that the events take place in modern Ukraine. The interesting plot is supported by harmonious descriptions and detailed dialogues. I liked how you write about Angelina's emotions, her experiences, and motives. Overall, a very positive impression, adding it to my shelf) Thank you for your creativity. Wishing you endless inspiration and lots and lots of satisfied readers)

Congratulations on the marathon! Well, the work intrigued me with the heroine's ability to snap and her attempt to change her life. I liked that, and that's it. I anticipate a good detective story, although I've stopped at chapter ten for now, and while I might understand the style of short chapters, it still feels a bit unusual. Everything is great: the author's style, how easy it is to read, and the unobtrusive way the heroine is presented, sitting on a train and trying to unravel another detective puzzle. As for the cover - it's wonderful, but for some reason, when I look at it, I see the 90s, or maybe even earlier, rather than the modernity I encountered in the pages of the work. Inspiration!

Anna NestorovaSincerely thank you))) The book cover has its own interesting story))) Firstly, I didn’t plan it to be like this, but AI suggested that it would be more mysterious this way) And also... it’s a detective story, and there’s a mystery in the cover itself, solving which can help understand what the key moments of the plot will be)))) Thank you again))) Likewise)))

Hello, Sofia! First of all, I apologize for taking so long to get to your work. I’m starting to make up for it right away! =) Unfortunately, I can’t say anything about the covers (since I’m blind), but the annotation is just amazing! Even it felt like a miniature piece of art! Right from the start, you get a rough idea of what to expect later on. The intrigue hooks you and pulls you into the text. You’ve done an excellent job with this. But I didn’t stop at this annotation; I also checked out the others. So, I won’t be lazy and will give you a “heart attack” (you’ll understand what I mean later). The language is beautiful and clear, it was easy to listen to. The dialogues, descriptions, and actions are wonderfully balanced: everything is measured and consistent. The main character’s personal motivation is evident. The vivid descriptions of the surroundings allow you to imagine yourself in the midst of the events. In short – everything is wonderful! ♥♥♥ Wishing you inspiration, strength, and many grateful readers! =) A special thank you for the marathon: THANK YOU!!! ;)

Hello from the marathon))) I read three chapters with excitement, and I’ll probably read more) The cover is interesting, it catches the eye, and the synopsis is truly intriguing. I really liked the created atmosphere, the detailed descriptions, you immediately immerse yourself in the world of the main character. Her decision to start a new life was understandable, although in the first minute on the train it seemed like she was considering someone’s possible murder as an opportunity to build a career or – even worse – as an exciting adventure – but learning about her own past makes it clear that it’s not quite like that. There are just a few minor flaws – for example, "armies of actors’ fans continue to boycott outside the courtroom" – it would be better as "continue to debate" or "protest," since you can "boycott" someone or something. "Monotonous white corridors" – monotonous usually applies to sound or someone’s life, even if it’s Angelina’s life in this context) "The lid just kept slipping out" – the lid in this case is an object, not a subject, so it’s Angelina who could only keep trying to twist it) These are minor details, I’m just pointing them out specifically in these three chapters, because overall, in my opinion, the work is very well written.

Greetings from the marathon! A special compliment to the cover - it's very beautiful and atmospheric. Perhaps it was the cover that influenced my further perception of the book. The annotation very carefully prepares the reader for what awaits from the first lines of the story. Clear and concise, it sparks interest in reading. Of course, I understand that the events of the plot take place in the present, but for some reason, I saw everything in noir tones, as if I were watching an old detective movie (with a slightly "grainy" picture and a blues melody playing in the background). I really liked the plot, and I'm adding the book to my library to finish reading it, because it's already too intriguing to just move on. Inspiration to you for new stories!)

Vasyl BundzyakI adore noir, especially when in books or movies, amidst the ordinary picture, something like this emerges))) So your words are like invaluable praise to me))) I’ve always strived to create something similar and doubted myself, but it turns out there is something like that in my work) Sincerely thank you❤️

Hello) Oh, this is something very interesting) I love detective stories. The cover is cool, there's even a mystery in it already. I really liked the annotation. From the first paragraphs, I start to envy the heroine and her courage and adventurousness. She just took and put an end to everything in one day. Brave, not everyone can do that. I also love to "rattle around" on the train, there really is a special atmosphere for thoughts there, especially in the reserved seat on the second shelf;). I love Lviv too, but Kyiv is also a wonderful city. And your book is too) absolutely wonderful. It reads incredibly easily and quickly. I really like it)) wishing you and the book success.

Hello :) This is my first time reading a book in the detective genre, so it was twice as interesting. I love discovering something new. I want to say that the cover of your book fully matches the specified genre and radiates an atmosphere of mystery. The annotation is no less intriguing. It’s concise but very apt. In just a few words, you described what awaits us in the book without revealing all the secrets. The text is well-edited and easy to read. I liked the brief yet spot-on description of Lviv’s atmosphere. I’ve had the chance to visit there, and that’s exactly how I remember the city. The main character is quite determined and clearly knows what she wants from life. This is captivating and engaging. Overall impressions are only positive. Wishing you success and an endless supply of ideas for new works.

Irene VanWow))) Then I recommend reading more books in this genre))) I even feel like your work has some kind of intricate web of events, very typical of detective stories) So who knows, maybe you should not only try reading but also write a little detective story?))) I promise to be one of the first readers))) Every two or three years, I try to visit Lviv for a few days to feel that atmosphere again))) It seems like the city has its own separate and special life))) Sincerely thank you❤️

Greetings from the marathon! I like the writing style — light, clear, relatable to everyone (on the theme of "waiting for your time," "finding your own"). The material and plot are presented beautifully. The cover is incredible because, as you read, you really start to imagine the heroine’s portrait just like that, with her indomitable spirit and determined character, as shown on the main "picture" of the book. The annotation is intriguing. It immediately hints that the story will touch a nerve, as it relates to the protagonist’s past. Overall, the immersion into this story leaves pleasant impressions, though, unfortunately, I’m not a fan of detective stories, so I’m stopping at the initial chapters, which leave a wonderful aftertaste of quality reading. I wish you unstoppable creative growth and joy from your favorite craft! :)

Marina TitovaSurprisingly, it was at the very moment when I sat down to write this book that I finally realized I had "found my thing" - writing)))) This is another marvel that AI has amazed me with))) I probably have only two books where the covers were created long after half of the book was written, and they perfectly matched the content)))) I understand))) I often avoid them myself, returning only to the classics of the genre)))) Thank you sincerely❤️

Congratulations on the marathon! I delayed reading your story a bit because detective stories aren't really my thing :)) But your work pleasantly surprised me. Angelina immediately comes across as a sensible, likable heroine with whom the reader wants to journey. I liked how you describe everything: both the emotions and the events. It's light and clear. You managed to immerse the reader in intrigue, mystery, and a sense of something incomprehensible and unknown. Overall, I really enjoy your writing style: fitting descriptions, spot-on dialogues. For correct punctuation and spelling—my sincere thanks! It's a pleasure to read a well-written text. In general, I have very, very positive impressions of your work, even though I'm not a big fan of detective stories. Wishing you inspiration and success in writing new works.

Hello. ;)) I’ve read 3 chapters. And, it seems, I’ll continue reading. But later. Because for now, I can’t quite get into the story...)) Your language is very light, pleasant..)) So it reads in one breath. As a fan of dialogues (hehe), I felt there weren’t enough of them. But there haven’t been any people yet to talk about serious or not-so-serious topics)) The heroine was just studying people in the train compartment with a sidelong glance ;))) By the way, "their". It’s my mistake too. Constant editing. Always correcting. Sigh... "Their" when we ask "whose" (for example, "their school"), and "them" when we ask "whom? what?" (studying them with a sidelong glance) ;)) Good luck =)))

The only thing is that the chapters feel a bit short to me, but that's just my personal taste) As for the plot, I can't say much since it's not really my genre, but even so, the beginning is engaging. Hello. The cover is beautiful, and the synopsis is intriguing. I've read three chapters. The main character is tired of her life like this, because monotony is something no one likes (I understand her so well). Most likely, it's really better to turn this monotony into an exciting adventure that can help find out the truth.

Hello. After reading the first three chapters... I can say that I don't like detective stories. Not my genre. Not for reading, not for writing. The girl seemed to me... Frivolous? Insecure? Scatterbrained? For some reason, this image doesn't associate with a detective in my mind. Or with whoever she wants to become... Maybe I'm wrong. And the character is truly gifted with a sixth sense. The style is top-notch. I like everything. The text is polished. The cover and the annotation match the work.
