But I finished reading it and hope that in the second part, it will be easier for me to understand Emilia and somehow root for her, because in the first part, I didn’t sympathize with the main characters at all. Of course, I was curious to read the top three winning novels, so I started with the first place and was simply stunned because, honestly, I was completely disappointed with the book. It felt like they tried to cram everything possible into it (mafia, betrayals, first love, fake death, from love to hate...) and that book just killed any desire to read the others. If "such a masterpiece" won, then what could be in the others... I barely forced myself to finish it and even after that, I spent a long time processing with thoughts like "what on earth did I just read." And here I want to immediately apologize for taking so long to read your story. Honestly, it’s just incredible. Tender, emotional, and touching. I read each chapter with excitement and impatience, wondering "what happens next." Truly, after an unsuccessful start, "Forbidden Paradise" was like a breath of fresh spring water. And even the not-so-happy ending didn’t erase the feelings from reading it. On the contrary, I really want to find out as soon as possible how deeply Severyn will apologize to Emilia.
