Abstract of the book "More Than Just a Show"
My name is Alisa, and I want to become an actress. My parents are against it — they want me to focus on getting a “proper” education and leave my thoughts of acting in the category of “impossible dreams.” But I know that for me, acting isn’t just a dream — it’s a real goal. Stas, the guy I’ve secretly been in love with since childhood, shares this goal with me, and that’s why we understand each other so well. We have our own circle of friends and interests, and we’re both preparing to apply to the Karpenko-Karyi University. But both his and my parents are completely against it… We argue with them all the time. And then, unexpectedly for all of us, a casting call is announced in the country for a new reality show called “BlockbaSTAR”, where the winner is promised a role in a blockbuster..

iana-knisoyid06.05.2025, 13:58A very interesting story that raises important questions: relationships with parents, problems in relationships. It reveals the subtleties of how big projects are filmed; behind the scenes, things may not be so smooth, with intrigues and setups. It shows that completely different people can fall in love with each other. They didn’t match each other in type, were called funny, but that didn’t stop them from falling in love.

vika-tori22.02.2023, 13:40Thank you for the wonderful story! It was exciting to experience all kinds of events together with the characters. It's easy to read and very hard to put down from the beginning to the very end. I also find it difficult to understand why such a book has so few stars. Wishing the author inspiration, strength, success, and new ideas brought to life! And also grateful readers!
marina-salivin06.11.2022, 14:20A very interesting and emotional story. Everything feels realistic and true to life. Though at some moments, I wanted to shake Alice, but then I realized it’s just youthful maximalism, and with age, she’ll change her views on certain things. For some reason, I felt hurt for Stas, whom she loved, and then suddenly it all faded. Especially when I learned about his feelings. Maybe it’s just my perspective and desire for romance. After all, I didn’t feel any sympathy for Ruslan, as he seems like a homewrecker. I wonder how Alice and Stas’s relationship would have developed if it weren’t for the show?! However, I felt the lack of an epilogue. I would have loved to read about Stas and Alona, how their fate turned out, what happened with Dana and Andriy, and whether Alice and Ruslan still look at each other with love after the project, at least six months later, when their lives have changed and real life, not a show, has begun. Of course, I can imagine it myself, but I’m curious about how the author sees it. Thank you! Wishing you inspiration and an easy pen!)
nadiia-derevianko07.10.2022, 22:09You write very beautifully, it's impossible to tear yourself away, for some reason it seems that Alona will win, although Alisa will put in maximum effort.
prosto-natali02.09.2022, 18:26So, is this book a standalone story, or do I need to read the previous book in the series first?
prosto-natali02.09.2022, 19:29Vlada Kholod, Thank you
olena30.07.2022, 17:14I read this story after Ksyu's Game. You're amazing! Very convincing and captivating! Wishing you inspiration and the desire to create masterpieces for us))
xolod-vlada02.09.2022, 18:42Elena Honcharenko, Thank you)) I'm glad you liked it)) many facts are taken from real footage of my child and me :)
mariia-melnik25.07.2022, 22:14Good evening. After chapter 49, it jumps straight to 54—is that supposed to happen? Thank you.
xolod-vlada25.07.2022, 22:16Maria Melnyk, I didn’t rename it) thank you for noticing) yes, that’s the chapter)
ganna-todoriv13.07.2022, 10:20At the moment, I have read half of the book. It is very captivating how the emotions experienced by the main characters are described. I hope everything works out for them in the best possible way. Thank you for such a wonderful story!
xolod-vlada18.07.2022, 19:14Hanna Todoriv, thank you for the comments))) it's nice to read and know that you like my books
ganna-todoriv18.07.2022, 19:12Thank you for the wonderful story about love and self-development. I find the storyline similar to the one described in the book "Ksyu's Game." However, despite the similarity of situations and the age of the main characters, I enjoy reading your books. Wishing you success in the future and peaceful skies!
xolod-vlada18.07.2022, 19:14Hanna Todoriv, well, this is a series)) so they are similar))) and in some sense "analogous"))) Ksyu was written earlier))) Show — later)) But both novels are among my first))) follow me, I have many newer books
marina-korliuga08.07.2022, 11:41Thank you for the interesting plot! Wishing you inspiration! Please delight us with the continuation of this story!
xolod-vlada08.07.2022, 11:55Marina Korlyuga, thank you for the comment)) It's almost the finale there)) I'll finish it in a few days)) I'm glad you're interested
uliana-nestorak04.07.2022, 13:01Thank you for the continuation, an interesting chapter and a very familiar dialogue between Ksyu and Dima. Looking forward to the next part, thank you.)))
xolod-vlada04.07.2022, 14:30Ulyana Nestorak, thank you for the comment))
olena-konovalova02.07.2022, 21:41A very touching description of the project with sick teenagers. I once worked in a hospital where there were children with leukemia, and this scene brought back memories from the past.
xolod-vlada02.07.2022, 21:44Olena Konovalova, thank you for your comment and emotions... I have an entire novel about a sick young man, "HIV. My Struggle," this topic deeply concerns me, so I couldn't avoid it here either.
olena-konovalova01.07.2022, 16:33It's strange that people of art are so cruel, unrestrained, and even rude. Why is it considered that a girl will dance better, sing better, or generally perform better if she is scolded, humiliated, or even physically pushed?
xolod-vlada01.07.2022, 16:35Olena Konovalova, This is a harsh reality, such things really happen on set. Not always, but still. Personally, I've experienced this a few times during filming) Of course, from my point of view, this is wrong... But it does happen.
