I couldn’t stop, reading in one breath and experiencing all the characters’ emotions as if they were my own... Naomi - a girl who saved not only her own life but also her son’s, working with pride and dignity... Richard, an arrogant turkey who changed his life priorities thanks to a chance meeting with her... And Ray - a self-obsessed, insecure, and simply sick "person"... I feel like Raymond was the puppet in life, not Naomi. Because she made that choice consciously to save herself, while he lived his whole life like that, depending on others’ opinions... Honestly, I didn’t think Ray would go that far, but... What happened to him is entirely his fault. And I don’t feel sorry for him at all. With his opportunities, he could have lived the way he wanted. And if his friend bothered or annoyed him, he could have just stopped communicating with him instead of orchestrating such madness, in which he himself perished.
