Abstract of the book "Dead, But Still Online"
The vlogger I hate vanishes without a trace, leaving behind a challenge instead of answers. A cryptic riddle—and a promise to hand over all his YouTube channels and social media accounts to whoever solves it first. Katya, my ex and still my closest friend, is stunned. She’s his biggest fan. Ironically, he’s also the reason we broke up. Max once told his followers to “never settle for less,” and Katya took that advice to heart. Now she wants my help. Her deep knowledge of Max in exchange for my deductive skills. If we win the quest, we split the prize: I get the gaming and streaming channel, she gets his personal vlog. It should be simple. But digging into Max’s mystery means confronting our past—and deciding whether some prizes are worth reopening old wounds for.

Or maybe Max just gave up on looking for the killer and calmly went to heaven. Honestly, the lightning theme didn’t really click with me. However, the ending itself, the reunion of friends, I liked. xolod-vlada23.08.2022, 23:01Alex@ua, I was sad myself to end this book like this :( but I didn’t see any other ending, no matter how hard I tried… I decided not to betray the story just because I love the characters… something like that… it was a tough decision… or rather, the decision was made before writing, but actually writing this ending turned out to be really hard… I even considered a halfway option but didn’t allow myself to do it, because… well, because Max fulfilled his mission, yes, something like that…. And no matter how much I regret their friendship, otherwise the whole book would have lost an important part, a logical and fair ending.
