Abstract of the book "Blind tango"
Daring and self-assured, cold and fiercely independent. The only authority she acknowledges is her father, despite their strained relationship. She has broken countless hearts and remains utterly indifferent. Her free life is abruptly threatened when the question of marriage arises. Her father has chosen a suitable fiancé, but that prospect is far from her plans. An escape to a masked ball is meant to be a simple distraction, but there she encounters a mysterious stranger—the only person to ever touch her soul. Yet, he vanishes just as quickly as he appeared. Now, what is she to do, when her unwanted future husband is already waiting for her at home?

iuliia-girina29.10.2024, 16:26I read the book. I have quite mixed impressions. I liked the writing style, the presentation of thoughts, and the author's manner of writing the work. I liked the book. But the main character irritated me significantly for more than half of the book. She's such a selfish person who hasn't achieved anything in life, thinks everyone owes her something, and doesn't think about anyone but herself. Everyone puts up with her. I understand that the death of her mother is a huge psychological trauma, but her brother also lost his mother, and so what? He didn't make life difficult for others; he started his own life. But Erika? No. She's just a little selfish girl. And even in her relationship with the main male character, she's the same. She does whatever she wants. It's good that by the end of the book, she matured a bit. She sat in her room and cried (feeling sorry for herself), and then came to talk and sort out the relationship. We are all imperfect, but here it's clearly too much. Thank you to the author for the book.

Seraphim is also an incredibly interesting character. I'm thrilled with the final chapter and pleasantly surprised. Erika idealized the stranger so much, dreaming of meeting him again, but she still made the right choice by choosing the one with whom she can be happy. Ohh, I knew it, that mysterious stranger from the ball would turn out to be Seraphim. From the moment Erika brought her mask to their apartment, he changed his attitude towards her. I'm so glad that one mystery is already solved) now I just have to wait for answers to the next ones..) Good luck!
