Mother Olga, with her timely appearance and creative fable, moved a mountain—Grandfather Pavlo, who also took the side of the lovers. The act of the indecisive father Stepan deserves respect—he contributed, though through others' hands, to solving the problem. I sincerely disliked Grandfather Petro. Diana wanted to get Tadeush just for her own whim and to spite Hayinka. As for Mother Natalya, I would like to ask how she imagined the future fate of her daughter-niece Hayinka? Did Natalya accept that Hayinka, scarred on her face, would dedicate her life to caring for Diana? That, even having met her true love, she should give it up because Grandfather Petro and Diana wanted it that way? It's good that the story has a happy ending! I read it in one evening and half the night. What a wonderful story, I couldn’t put it down. Thank you sincerely for the emotions I experienced. A special thanks for the names of the main characters. In none of the books I’ve read on Booknet (and I’ve read quite a few), have I come across the names Tadei and Hayina. I sincerely wish you, Mrs. Ustyna, creative inspiration and grateful readers.
