Abstract of the book "Arrows of Perun"
Savage dog-headed beasts have invaded the city of Dnipro. But the Night of the Gods is ending, and the ancient power of Perun begins to stir. Perun — the Slavic god of thunder and war, a fierce counterpart to Zeus or Thor — chooses Illia as his vessel. Illia must embrace this divine force and face the inhuman threat head-on. Yet amid the chaos, he discovers something unexpected: love. Set against real Ukrainian landscapes, this myth-infused fantasy blends epic battles, ancient legends, and a hero’s journey shaped by destiny. All character names are fictional, and the myths — drawn from diverse, sometimes contradictory sources — are carefully woven into the story’s fabric to create a rich and immersive experience.

galina15.08.2024, 17:52If only we had this Illya-Perun to destroy our enemies who have come to destroy our country.
galina-kurdiumova15.08.2024, 23:56Halyna, Oh, yes!
tetiana-sergin03.02.2024, 05:21I liked the story, even though I was annoyed by Ilia's duality, who thought more about the bad things, but everything ended well, respect to the author for touching the soul so much while I finished reading.

natalka14.12.2023, 16:21I read this novel a few months ago. I didn’t write about it right away. I was curious about what emotions would linger. A lot remained. It’s a well-written adventure fantasy for teenagers. A realistic world, a sense of danger, and ambiguity in the development of events. And the mythology fits organically into the plot. I will recommend it to readers of the appropriate age. They will definitely like it ;) Natalia Devyatko
vasil-dotsenko14.05.2022, 15:15Perun's Arrows A fantasy book where the intrigue draws the viewer into an adventure from the very first minute. I say viewer (not reader) because the vivid imagery envelops every guest. The first chapter reminded me of my first meeting with my then-future wife - a night, helping to carry her shoes... But our story had a different continuation - worthy of a separate book. The second chapter deepens the dual storyline, where the mundane life of the nerdy student Illia, on one hand, subtly and increasingly intertwines with the ancient world of Ukrainian gods, on the other. By the way, the viewer gets a crucial dose of information about Ukrainians as an ancient kurgan nation... just in passing. The chapter is aptly named - Kurgan. The god Perun... His companion Diva-Dana-Dodola-Perperuna... They are embodied in ordinary students of a large Ukrainian city. Through the actions and unusual adventures of Illia and Bohdana, we easily connect with our native gods and admire the beauty of the deep worldview of Ukrainians. And then there are dragons, nagas, besyholovtsi... Such is the power of modern art - to resurrect.
galina-kurdiumova14.05.2022, 18:34Vasil Dotsenko, Thank you for such a meaningful and pleasant comment! It's very nice to meet people who are interested in and value the mythology of our ancestors, this boundless magical world! All the best to you and good books!
jevgen-palasinskii-palas16.03.2021, 23:11I started reading because of the presence of dragons (though it’s better to say, their certain equivalent). Overall, the work is not bad)) It earned its star. I’m glad that the winged ones here are not lovers who spend 90% of the plot walking around in human form, but are completely wild and powerful monsters. There are tiny issues with the battle scenes (it’s noticeable that you don’t often write large-scale action scenes), but this doesn’t greatly affect the overall impression. I really liked that the work is based on our mythology)) For that, another like)
olena-kogut12.03.2021, 14:44A story worthy of an award!!! Well done, Halynochka!!! Thank you for such an interesting book!!!

olena-kogut12.03.2021, 12:11An interesting solution for the beast!! Renat is great!! What a true statement that war can last forever. But why can't Renat lead the raw foodists?
galina-kurdiumova12.03.2021, 13:59Olena Kohut, Probably, it’s not so easy for a lawyer, especially one who "escaped" to the land, to unite lands that have lived as they pleased for millennia.
olena-kogut11.03.2021, 11:50What a fight!!! What went wrong?
galina-kurdiumova11.03.2021, 11:56Olena Kohut, The resolution is near!

olena-kogut06.03.2021, 12:22Well, couldn't Renat go with Bohdana for the key? Or is he really an enemy?!?!
