She always loved him; since their school days, she worried about him, cared for him, gave him shelter and the care she could offer at the time. And Demian protected her, opened his soul and heart to her. Their paths were not easy—his methods of survival, her choice to escape the pain of separation with someone else. But in the end, they are together again because they carried that love in their hearts. Now they have a family, and Mark seems to have found a true father. But here, I made an exception and immediately found the story on Booknet. What can I say—it hooked me from the snippet under the post on Instagram and kept me gripped until the very end. A bit of heartache, tears, smiles, a heart stopping for a moment from worry—all of this creates a unique atmosphere around this book. So, I can say from myself—it’s worth reading, because I didn’t regret the sleepless night for a second (and yes, I read it all night because I couldn’t tear myself away). I will definitely come back and reread this book again once my emotions settle. And maybe I’ll find another gem from this author. Wishing inspiration and grateful readers with positive feedback;)

I rarely meet people who fondly remember school; it’s as if the main task isn’t to learn, but to defend yourself so you don’t end up with a bag of complexes for life. Demyan tried to save his mom, to survive, warmed himself near Nadya, picked up a kitten, emerged from the swamp, only to fall to the bottom again. I feel so sorry for Nadya; no one protected her, and her parents only taught her to endure. The ray of light in her life is Marko. The only moment I didn’t quite understand is how Demyan didn’t recognize Nadya. Her voice, the smell of her hair, her body—he’s so attentive to details, noticed everything. Maybe besides alcohol, there was something else that switched him off like that. And the burned envelope proves they are a real family❤️. Thank you, Lesya❤️, may there always be a reason for a smile and time for dreams in your life!
