About the book

I fell in love for the first and only time when I was twenty-three. And for twelve damn years, I kept it hidden, torturing myself as I watched her being happy… with my best friend. She was happy — until his life was suddenly cut short. Now his family is my responsibility. But she’s still off-limits. Untouchable. Taboo. But what happens when one day… I can’t fight it anymore? And what if she responds to my weakness? There are only two ways this ends: with everything finally breaking apart — or with a second chance. For both of us. But how do I silence my own conscience… And how does she let me into her heart?

The best thing Platon did was not breakfast in bed, not a romantic evening, not taking care of her children, not the way he fed her... but the fact that he quit his job so his beloved wouldn't worry. He found another job. This is exactly what Vova should have done. But he didn't care for her as much as Platon did.

White TitmouseIn the book "Reverse Flash," Olya confessed to Nadya that she hates his job, but she didn’t say anything about it to Vova because he was very proud of what he does. Although... I think Vova wouldn’t have acted the way Plat did, even if she had told him...

Oh, Platon... that Artemka messed things up for you too, and Nadya is suffering with him :-)

KRIS-TINAI think this would be a nice addition. It would provide a broader picture of how they lived and how he treated her. I got the impression that they lived well, he didn’t offend her, a normal family, but it was Platon who truly loved and cared for her...

And again, my heart aches... he noticed her, won her over, and let her go because she said she loves someone else... (crying emoji)...

Natalia Olshevskawhere there is love, there is no selfishness... I loved like that once. Thankfully, it passed for me because it was unrequited...

Platon does love her!! I don’t know a man who, after a night shift, sleep-deprived, with full balls, would immediately respond to the request of his friend’s widow, take care of her children, worry about her problems and feelings!! I loved how he combed her hair! For me, it’s so intimate when a man does that! And the innocent kiss on the cheek on the couch? He doesn’t see her as a sexual object. He just loves her. Being around her is enough for him. But that was already clear from the book "Backdraft." When he attacked Vova for just making kids and not asking about his wife’s dreams and plans. I definitely like Platon more than Artem. A man should be reliable, a support, so a woman can finally relax and radiate warmth and tenderness :-)

Natalia Olshevskaeveryone loves in the way they know how. And they give us what they can. But what we deserve, we must give to ourselves :-)

Oh, Artem and Olya are two misfortunes, but if I forgive the girl for it, I don’t forgive Artem. For me, a man should be like Platon or Kolya, and girls can do whatever they want :-)

White TitmouseYeah, not many expected that)) No, there’s no book about them. But I’m still thinking about Margo... Actually, I came up with the heroine a long time ago. I prepared her for "Punishment Beyond the Fence," but decided that her place is in this story)

That's it, the sponsor of a sleepless night, a book that, despite everything, despite everything - you won't be able to put it down until morning and you'll be thinking about Platon!

This is probably my favorite book! Kolyusyk is nervously smoking on the side. Platon is a wonder!
