About the book

Marta lost the most precious person in her life — and with them all sense of direction. Even her desire for revenge against the one who wronged them had faded… until someone woke it up again. One man could pull her out of her personal hell and into a life of peace and quiet. The other could reignite her thirst for justice — and offer her a path to the top. But… Is it the man she loves or the man who loves her? The one with nothing but strength of spirit, or the one with the power of wealth? The brave, determined man who can do nothing for her — or the coward, the weakling, who would bring her a hundred million stars if only she asked?

It was very interesting to follow the development of the plot. All the characters made mistakes. But it’s important to realize these mistakes and, if possible, correct them in time. It seems to me that even if Marta had gone to Kyiv back then, she would have eventually returned to Adrian. She needed some kind of push to understand which of the two men she truly loves. And Svitlana’s words about flames and embers were so timely when said to her daughter-in-law. That push came from the news about the fire at Adrian’s hotel (and also the mother-in-law’s story about embers). And Marta rushed to her beloved, forgetting everything else. I feel sorry for Borys. Between his son and his beloved, he chose his son (which shows him as a loving father), and I hope that in this situation, his relationship with his ex-wife will improve. But... Neither things worked out with his wife, nor did he get a second chance with his beloved. Although, perhaps, the esteemed Author will give Borys a chance with another woman (I read the comments and understood that you, Mrs. Ustyna, have some plans regarding this). Thank you for the interesting stories, Mrs. Ustyna. Wishing you inspiration in your creative work.

I really like all of your books. When I'm feeling sad, it's your stories that help me regain my balance. My most favorite ones are "Hurt Me" and "Obvious Things." I love how the characters behave in different situations. They are not artificial, fairy-tale heroes; they are real people. Few can write like this. Thank you, and I eagerly await the completion of your next book (I can't read "in progress" as the tension is exhausting).

What an emotional story, I read it and cried over the fate of the characters. It’s not for nothing that fate brought Adrian and Marta together, two people who have experienced a lot of pain in life. They both saved each other. I don’t judge Marta in any way; most people in her place would have acted the same. But Adrian surprised me the most—he felt that he wasn’t truly loved and saw that he was being used, yet he didn’t become bitter toward everyone and everything. Instead, he remained a true Human, capable of sincere feelings. With his love, he made Marta let go of her anger, look at things from a different perspective, melt her heart, and move forward by his side. Thank you, Ustyna, for such emotions. I regret not buying the book earlier.♥️

Oksana KisAdrian is my favorite male character precisely because he managed to win the heart of his beloved not with force and persistence, but with gentle love. I’m so glad that you read this book and that it evoked such wonderful emotions in you❤️

I don’t consider Marta to be that bad anymore. Firstly, she had reasons to use Adrian. Secondly, as another character in the book said, “He allowed it himself,” he took the initiative, turned a blind eye to some things, and so on. Marta’s doubts (“What’s so special about me?”) are also relatable to me, and I think to many women as well. Self-confidence is half the battle. A healthy self-esteem. Hence the suspicion and expectation of some kind of trick from men. And honestly, these doubts are not unfounded! It’s often hard to understand yourself or your feelings, not only in such complicated circumstances as the heroine’s. She couldn’t even allow herself to believe that she enjoyed the closeness with Adrian (how could she, since he’s supposedly not loved), “from my side, it’s just calculation.” At some point, she even got scared of the feelings that couldn’t help but arise and ran away from them. And when she figured out the circumstances and secrets, she started to feel sorry for Adrian (another nuance from which a woman’s love can begin). It’s hard to say what would have happened if not for the circumstances and Boris’s character, and who Marta would have chosen. The book would have been longer then, which I would have been happy about)) So the only downside of the work is that it ended too quickly)

Ira SitkovskaI agree, Marta found herself in difficult circumstances, so she acted accordingly. The main thing is that she was able to make amends! I don't like dragging out stories, so I always write concisely, and everything ends quickly)) Thank you for sharing your impressions!))

I'm thrilled with the story)) So, the main character, thank you for creating him)) First of all, I want to express my doubts about the reality of the existence of men like Adrian :) He turned out to be a truly unconventional millionaire with emotional (hidden) wounds. I believe that this whole situation with Marta, which started with deception, but at the same time forced the masks to come off those around and revealed family secrets, put the dots on the I's. I'm not talking about the entire set of his qualities in reality, but at least the presence of understanding that events shouldn't be rushed, women need more time for true feelings to come (there's even an opinion that women can't fall in love at first sight), to learn to trust, to look at a man's actions. For me, for example, the attitude towards animals is very telling (which was also in one of the chapters of the novel). In the end, even from simple communication, something bigger can grow!

Ira SitkovskaThat's why romance novels exist - to create ideal men, so that they can exist at least somewhere)) I've met men with some of Adrian's traits, but of course, his "concentrated" perfection is unique) I've met men who know how to wait, who share their stories, who can be sweet and not so sweet, but they were all different men)) Thank you for such a detailed analysis, I really love Adrian, so I'm glad that you liked him too))

Wow, I can just see an awesome movie or series in this plot :)) If only it could be filmed with high quality and thought out, so it turns out just as captivating as the book... The main casting, of course, would be for "unreal" - that is, for the role of Adrian :)...
