Lost in Space

BRIEF SYNOPSIS:

The starship "Bright Star," commanded by the ever-steady Captain Aeon, crash-lands on an uncharted planet. Alongside him, the brilliant astrophysicist Kayla and the high-energy first mate Zane survive the disaster. The planet, shrouded in mystery, boasts a unique biosphere and the remnants of an ancient civilization.

The crew must adapt to this alien world, scrounging for food, water, and shelter while fending off predatory creatures and enduring extreme weather. The ruins hint at a once-thriving, advanced society. Kayla dedicates herself to decoding their technology, desperate to uncover what led to this world’s downfall.

The clashing personalities and worldviews of the crew threaten to spark conflict. Aeon, as their leader, strives to maintain harmony and unity. Slowly, the team realizes this planet holds far more secrets than they first imagined—perhaps even properties that could reshape humanity’s understanding of the universe itself.

Ultimately, the survivors discover the "heart" of the planet—a long-dormant autonomous system with the power to alter the fate of an entire galaxy. But to grasp its true nature, they must endure a series of grueling trials and face deadly dangers. The crew is left with a choice that could bring immense rewards—or catastrophic consequences.

MAIN CHARACTERS:

Aeon—Captain of the "Bright Star," a tall, lean man with silver hair and a piercing gaze. His face radiates calm and wisdom. He wears a simple yet functional spacesuit, and around his neck hangs an amulet—a symbol of faith and hope.

Thoughtful, composed, and dependable, Aeon is a leader through and through. He possesses deep knowledge of space and ancient civilizations. His confidence and measured demeanor inspire the crew in their darkest moments. Once a scientist and philosopher, he often conducts research or immerses himself in the study of ancient texts.

He deeply values Kayla’s intellect and works to channel Zane’s energy into constructive paths.

Kayla—An astrophysicist, a slender woman with short, fiery red hair and striking green eyes. Her appearance is casual, almost unkempt, but it only underscores her sharp mind. She wears practical clothing that allows freedom of movement and always carries a portable computer loaded with her notes and research.

Brilliant, passionate, and curious, Kayla has a razor-sharp intellect and a genuine love for science. Her enthusiasm is infectious, though she can be impulsive. From childhood, she was fascinated by the stars and participated in numerous scientific projects.

She respects Aeon but often debates with him. Her relationship with Zane is complicated due to their contrasting temperaments.

Zane—First mate, a muscular young man with short dark hair and an intense stare. Always alert and in peak physical condition, he wears practical gear that doesn’t hinder movement. A tattoo on his arm marks his past affiliation with a secretive organization.

Energetic, hot-headed, and a bit reckless, Zane is ready to fight for his comrades. Beneath his tough exterior lies a kind heart. A former soldier and mercenary, he’s skilled in combat and survival tactics.

He respects Aeon and tries to follow his guidance. His rivalry with Kayla eventually evolves into mutual affection.

Lee and Rem—Technical specialists aboard the ship.

Lee—A young, promising technician prone to doubts and fears.

Rem—An experienced expert, calm and deliberate, often acting as a mentor to Lee.

PROLOGUE

Captain’s Log. Aeon Lir. Final entry before the crash.

I’ve never put much stock in gut feelings.

Commanders don’t have the luxury of relying on intuition. We trust in calculations, navigation systems, safety protocols. Emotions are for civilians who gaze at the stars and dream. Our job is to make it back home.

But today… something’s off.

The "Bright Star" is acting strange. Systems seem fine on paper, but there are glitches. Split-second delays in responses, weird signals in the comms module. I’ve ordered Zane to check the power grid and Kayla to review the gravitational anomaly charts. She says we’re passing through a sector that’s not in the database. That shouldn’t be possible.

And yet—there it is. Dark, silent. Like someone carved out a chunk of the sky on purpose.

I can’t afford to panic. The crew looks to me. They’re used to seeing me calm. They expect me to know what I’m doing.

But right now… I feel something tightening inside me.

This place… it’s not just unknown. It’s alive.
And it’s waiting for us.

Captain’s Log. Aeon Lir. Auto-record / Saved to external drive / Classification: Personal.

If you’re reading this, it means someone found us.
Or… found what’s left of us.

We survived the landing. Survived hunger, fear, storms, predators. Learned to breathe alien air and see in the dark. We’re the ones who remain. The ones who no longer dream of Earth, because it’s become a myth—just like we have.

Zane… He saved us. Not because he had to, but because he could see what mattered. There was always more to him than he let on. And now—he’s gone, but the planet feels different. Quieter. Like it’s listening.

Kayla went after him. No permission, no explanation. She just got up and walked into the depths, where the silence begins. I didn’t try to stop her. If I could’ve, I’d have gone myself.

And I wonder: maybe they’re still close. Maybe they’ve become part of something bigger. Maybe this planet doesn’t take—it accepts. Rewrites us in its own language.

I’m not leaving this record for reports. Not for science.
I’m leaving it for whoever’s still searching.

The planet is alive. It sees us. And it remembers.

And we—we were here.
